Common Room

Customer and community intelligence that stitches scattered person identities into one go-to-market signal feed

As of 31 August 2026, Common Room starts at $2500/month. Common Room watches GitHub, Slack, LinkedIn, forums, product usage and your website, resolves the same human across all of them, and alerts sellers when someone worth calling does something worth calling about. Softwr lists it under Sales Enablement. Common Room is available on Web, Browser extension.

Overview

What Common Room does

Common Room is a go-to-market intelligence platform. It ingests activity from community and public sources, GitHub, Slack, Discord, forums, LinkedIn, job change data, podcast and news mentions, alongside your own product usage and website traffic, then resolves those fragments into a single person and account record it calls Person360. On top of that sits scoring, alerting and workflow: when a person matching your buyer profile stars a repository, joins your Slack, changes job to a target account or returns to your pricing page, the relevant seller is notified with the context attached. The capability that justifies the price is identity resolution across sources that normally cannot be joined. A GitHub handle, a Slack display name, a LinkedIn profile and an anonymous website visitor are four separate records in most stacks, and unifying them is the hard part rather than collecting them. For companies with genuine developer or community-led motions, this is the difference between knowing a community exists and knowing which three people in it work at accounts you are trying to close. Pricing is published for the entry tier at 2,500 US dollars per month billed annually, covering 5 seats and 100,000 contacts, with Advanced at 15 seats and 250,000 contacts and Enterprise at 30 seats and 750,000 contacts both quoted. Higher tiers add credits for its research and prospecting agents. That floor of 30,000 US dollars a year rules out early-stage companies, which is awkward because a strong community signal is often exactly what an early-stage developer tool has and a mature enterprise does not.

What people use it for

  • A developer tools company whose GitHub stars and Slack community contain buyers nobody has ever contacted because the handles do not match any CRM record
  • A sales team that wants to be alerted when a former champion changes job to a target account, with the previous relationship attached
  • A marketing function trying to prove that community participation precedes pipeline, which requires joining community identity to opportunity data
  • A product-led business wanting to route free users who match the enterprise buyer profile to sellers based on both product usage and public activity

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Common Room.

  • The entry plan is 2,500 US dollars a month billed annually, a floor of 30,000 a year, which excludes exactly the early-stage community-led companies whose signal is strongest.
  • RoomieAI and Prospector run on credit allocations rather than unlimited use, so heavy research months exhaust the budget and the workflow stops until the next cycle or an upgrade.
  • Contact ceilings of 100,000 on Essential are consumed quickly by any sizeable public community, and the overage conversation is an upgrade to a quoted tier rather than an incremental charge.
  • Identity resolution is probabilistic, so wrong merges happen, and a seller who contacts the wrong person with context from someone else does more damage than no alert at all.
  • Signal volume overwhelms teams without a defined qualification rule; most implementations that fail do so because everything became an alert and sellers stopped reading them within a month.

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

What does the entry plan actually cost?

2,500 US dollars per month billed annually, for 5 seats and 100,000 contacts. Higher tiers are quoted.

Is this only for developer tools companies?

It is strongest where there is a public community to observe. Companies with no community signal get a narrower version of the product and should compare it against ordinary intent data vendors.

Does it replace ZoomInfo?

No. It is signal and identity resolution rather than a contact database, though Prospector covers some contact discovery within accounts.

How are AI features metered?

By credits per tier, from 5,000 RoomieAI credits on Essential up to 10,000 on Enterprise, with Prospector credits counted separately.
