Klue

Competitive enablement that collects rival signals, curates battlecards and now runs win-loss programmes

As of 31 August 2026, Klue's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Klue collects competitor signals automatically and delivers curated battlecards inside Salesforce, Slack and Teams, but the automation only produces value if a named person curates it weekly. Softwr lists it under Sales Enablement. Klue is available on Web, Browser extension.

Overview

What Klue does

Klue is a Vancouver company founded in 2015 that sells competitive enablement. It monitors competitor websites, pricing pages, review sites, job postings, news and, through call recording integrations, what buyers say about rivals in your own sales calls. Signals are collected into a workspace where a competitive intelligence team curates them into battlecards delivered where sellers already work rather than in a portal they have to remember to open. The useful commercial development is the acquisition of DoubleCheck Research in 2023, which added structured win-loss interview programmes. Competitive intelligence teams have always struggled to prove impact, because the claim that a battlecard changed an outcome is unfalsifiable without asking the buyer. Having both in one vendor means the battlecard and the interview evidence about why deals were actually won or lost sit in the same system, which is what turns the programme from a content exercise into something with a defensible number attached. Buyers are B2B software companies in crowded categories with a dedicated competitive intelligence owner, typically in product marketing. The trade-off is that the tool assumes that owner exists. Without weekly curation the boards decay within a quarter, and the AI summarisation of collected sources produces a starting draft rather than something you would put in front of a seller unreviewed.

What people use it for

  • A crowded category where sellers meet the same three rivals in every deal and answer objections inconsistently
  • Rolling battlecards out to a large sales organisation where read-only access needs to be cheap
  • Replacing an internal competitor wiki that nobody updates and nobody trusts
  • Running win-loss interviews to test whether the competitive positioning actually holds with buyers

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Klue.

  • Without a named curator the collected signals pile up unread and battlecards go stale within a quarter, which is the most common reason deployments fail.
  • AI summarisation produces drafts rather than publishable content, so the human editing effort the tool was meant to remove largely remains.
  • Value depends on sellers opening the cards during live deals, which is a change management problem the software cannot solve on its own.
  • Win-loss interview programmes are a services purchase on top of the platform licence, so the combined proposition costs considerably more than the software alone.
  • It overlaps closely with Crayon, and evaluations usually turn on curation workflow and integration fit rather than on any difference in the underlying data collection.

Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

How much staffing does it need?

At minimum one part-time competitive intelligence owner. Organisations without one consistently report the boards going stale within months.

What did DoubleCheck add?

Structured win-loss interview programmes, acquired in 2023, which give the competitive claims evidence from actual buyers.

Does it integrate with call recording?

Yes, with Gong and Chorus, so competitor mentions in real calls become signals rather than anecdotes.
