Jobber: Published per seat pricing, no account minimum, and a far cheaper entry point for small residential trades

Job management for commercial and residential trades with a four licence minimum
As of 31 August 2026, Commusoft's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A UK-built field service platform for plumbing, heating, HVAC and electrical contractors that bills by licence type rather than a flat seat count. Softwr lists it under Field Service. Commusoft is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Commusoft is job management software for trade contractors. It covers customer databases, diary scheduling, engineer despatch, job costing, parts and stock, service reminders, planned maintenance contracts, invoicing and accounting sync. The core product is sold as Commusoft Jobs, with paid add-on modules for fleet tracking, sales pipeline and analytics layered on top. What sets it apart commercially is the licence structure. Alongside standard contracted licences on a twelve month term, Commusoft sells monthly rolling licences for seasonal staff and daily licences for subcontractors that are billed only for the days someone actually logs in. A contractor whose headcount swings between fifteen in summer and thirty in winter can track that swing in the bill rather than paying for peak all year. Against per seat rivals that require you to buy the winter number in January, this is a real difference in annual cost. It is bought by UK and US mechanical and electrical contractors in roughly the ten to two hundred engineer range, particularly ones with reactive maintenance contracts and compliance certificates to issue. The trade-off is that Commusoft publishes no prices at all, imposes a minimum of four licences per account, and puts the fleet, sales and analytics capability behind separate paid modules, so the quoted figure is rarely the figure you end up paying.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Commusoft.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Commusoft, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
