Workiz

Field service management for locksmiths, garage doors and small trades with built-in phone tracking

As of 31 August 2026, Workiz's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A field service platform aimed at small trades that grew out of call tracking, so its telephony and lead attribution are stronger than most rivals. Softwr lists it under Field Service. Workiz is available on Web, iOS, Android.

Overview

What Workiz does

Workiz handles scheduling, dispatching, estimates, invoicing, online payments and client records for small field service businesses. Its origin as a call tracking product still shows: inbound calls are recorded, attributed to the ad source that generated them, and attached to the job record, so an operator can see which campaign produced which booked job without wiring up a separate attribution tool. That telephony heritage is the commercial distinction. Locksmiths, garage door companies, junk removal and appliance repair firms buy heavily on inbound calls from paid search, and being able to see cost per booked job by phone number is worth more to them than the deeper pricebook or inventory features that ServiceTitan sells. Workiz also layers AI features on the same call data, scoring leads and flagging missed calls. Buyers are typically two to twenty five person trades in North America. The trade-offs are real: Workiz no longer publishes plan prices on its own site, plans include a small number of members with additional ones charged separately at a rate that is not disclosed publicly, automations are capped per tier, and inventory and purchase orders only appear on the top tier.

What people use it for

  • A locksmith or garage door company that buys most of its work from paid search and needs cost per booked job attributed to the phone number that rang
  • A five technician appliance repair firm replacing a shared Google Calendar and a paper invoice book
  • An operator who wants missed inbound calls flagged and followed up automatically rather than lost to a competitor
  • A franchise group needing inventory, purchase orders and API access across several locations on one account

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Workiz.

  • Workiz has removed list prices from its own pricing page, so plan cost now requires a quote and there is no public figure to hold the sales conversation against.
  • Each plan includes only a handful of members and additional ones are billed as add-ons at a rate the company does not publish, so a ten person crew costs substantially more than the base plan figure implies.
  • Automations are capped per tier at five, ten and thirty, so a business that automates follow-ups aggressively hits the ceiling and has to upgrade for the automation count alone rather than for any feature it wants.
  • Inventory, purchase orders, equipment tracking and API access are all confined to the top Ultimate tier, which puts basic parts tracking behind the most expensive plan.
  • Card processing rates are set per account rather than published, so payment fees, which are usually the largest recurring line for a field service firm, are invisible until you are quoted.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

How much does Workiz cost?

Workiz no longer publishes plan prices on its own site. Tiers are Standard, Pro and Ultimate, and pricing now comes from a quote or trial signup.

Are extra users included?

No. Each plan includes a set number of members and additional members are charged as add-ons at a rate that is not published.

Does it do call tracking?

Yes, and this is its strongest feature. Inbound calls are recorded and attributed to the marketing source, which is unusual in field service software.

When do I need the Ultimate plan?

If you need inventory, purchase orders, equipment tracking or API access, which are not available on Standard or Pro.
