SEMrush: Do SEO, content marketing, competitor research, PPC and social media marketing from just one platfor

SEO and AI visibility platform with daily rank tracking, priced on published tiers plus per-unit extras
As of 1 September 2026, SE Ranking starts at $129/month. A full SEO suite whose pricing page is unusually specific: two published tiers, every limit listed, and paid extras for keywords, seats, locations and articles quoted per unit. Softwr lists it under SEO.
Overview
SE Ranking bundles rank tracking, keyword and competitor research, backlink research and monitoring, a site and on-page auditor, a content editor and a set of AI search trackers covering AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Local marketing is included rather than sold as a separate product, with three business locations, 1,500 local and map-pack keywords and listings sync to more than 100 directories on both published tiers. The pricing model is the reason to consider it. Core is 129 USD a month, or 103.20 USD a month when billed annually; Growth is 279 USD a month, or 223.20 USD annually. Annual billing is a flat 20 percent saving on both, billed upfront, with free migration included. Above the plan, capacity is sold per unit rather than by forcing an upgrade: extra manager seats from 16 USD, extra tracked keywords from 22.40 USD on Core and from 32 USD on Growth, extra locations from 18.40 USD, extra content articles from 39.20 USD. Three add-ons sit alongside: Agency Pack for white-label reporting at 69 USD a month, annual billing only; AI Search at 89 USD monthly or 71.20 USD annually; and the API at 45 USD a month, annual billing only. The measurement detail buyers miss is that a daily keyword allowance is counted as a target, meaning keyword multiplied by search engine. Thirty keywords tracked in two engines consumes sixty of the 2,000 Core targets. Buyers are agencies and in-house teams that want daily positions and predictable client reporting. The trade-off is that there is no free tier and the Enterprise tier is quoted rather than published.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about SE Ranking.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Core is 129 USD a month, or 103.20 USD a month billed annually. Growth is 279 USD a month, or 223.20 USD billed annually. Annual billing is a flat 20 percent saving charged upfront. Enterprise is quoted by sales.
Core includes 2,000 daily keyword targets and Growth 5,000. Beyond that you buy extra keywords from 22.40 USD a month on Core and from 32 USD on Growth rather than being forced onto the next tier. A keyword is counted once per search engine, so thirty keywords across two engines uses sixty targets.
Growth triples projects to 30, raises daily keyword targets from 2,000 to 5,000 and prompts from 100 to 250, gives 3 manager seats instead of 1, lifts audit capacity from 250,000 to 2 million pages a month, raises on-page checks from 50 to 1,000, adds page changes monitoring, guest links, historical data across the project lifetime and dedicated support.
No. There is a 14-day trial with no credit card required, but no permanently free tier.
Agency Pack for white-label reporting and client seats is 69 USD a month on annual billing only. The AI Search toolkit is 89 USD monthly or 71.20 USD billed annually. The API add-on is 45 USD a month, annual billing only.
Yes, daily on both published tiers, through the full Google Top 100. Moz and Ahrefs both refresh rankings weekly.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for SE Ranking, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
