Overview
Gleamer is a Paris based radiology AI company whose first and best known product is BoneView, an algorithm that flags fractures, dislocations and joint effusions on plain radiographs. The portfolio has grown to ChestView for thoracic pathology on X-ray, BoneAge, BoneMetrics for musculoskeletal measurement, LungCT for pulmonary nodules, BreastView for mammography and, through the Pixyl acquisition, neuro MRI volumetry and multiple sclerosis lesion tracking. These are sold together as Gleamer Copilot with a single integration point, and the company has added AutoReport and voice reporting on top. The fact that should change a shortlist is ownership. In February 2026 RadNet, the largest outpatient imaging operator in the United States, agreed to acquire Gleamer for around two hundred and fifteen million euros upfront. RadNet already owns DeepHealth, which sells competing imaging AI, and RadNet also competes directly with independent imaging centres that are Gleamer customers. Buyers should ask explicitly how the Gleamer and DeepHealth portfolios will be rationalised and whether pricing or roadmap priority will favour RadNet-owned sites. Buyers are emergency departments, urgent care and musculoskeletal services, particularly in Europe where BoneView has been deployed at scale in national settings. Clinical validation is the strongest part of the case: multi-reader studies published in Radiology reported meaningful improvement in reader sensitivity for fracture detection and a reduction in false negatives, with the largest gain among less experienced readers and in emergency settings. The trade off is that the gain is concentrated where reader expertise is lowest, so a specialist musculoskeletal service reading its own plain films will see far less benefit than an emergency department where junior doctors read first.
