What Visage Imaging does

Visage Imaging sells Visage 7, an enterprise imaging platform whose defining architecture is server-side rendering. Rather than pushing whole studies to a workstation and reconstructing locally, the server does the reconstruction and streams the rendered view, which is why large CT and MR studies and digital breast tomosynthesis open in seconds regardless of where the radiologist is sitting. The same platform provides the clinician viewer, an open archive and increasingly full PACS operations in the cloud. The commercially distinguishing fact is not architectural, it is financial. Visage is a subsidiary of Pro Medicus, listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, and Pro Medicus announces major contracts to the market with their total value and term. Contracts are transaction based, priced per exam with a minimum annual volume, so the model rewards high volume readers and penalises organisations whose imaging activity is flat or shrinking. Buyers are large United States academic health systems and high volume teleradiology and private practice groups where radiologist reading time is the scarce resource and remote reading is normal. The trade off is scope. Visage is a reading and distribution platform, strongest at radiology; pathology, cardiology and departmental workflow breadth are thinner than at vendors that have spent twenty years accumulating modules, and the transaction pricing model means the cost line grows with volume rather than flattening.

Module breadth outside radiology is narrower than at Sectra or the large modality vendors, so a group planning to digitise pathology on the same platform will not find it here.
Server-side rendering shifts the cost to central infrastructure, so the saving on radiologist workstations is partly offset by what you spend on servers or cloud compute.
Pro Medicus concentrates on very large contracts, and smaller imaging groups report long sales cycles and little appetite from the vendor for deals below a certain volume.
Diagnostic AI is third party, surfaced through the accelerator framework rather than developed in house, so algorithm licensing, validation and monitoring remain the buyer problem.
