FaciliWorks

CMMS from CyberMetrics that still sells a perpetual on-premise licence alongside subscription

As of 1 September 2026, FaciliWorks's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. FaciliWorks is one of the few remaining CMMS products where you can still buy a perpetual licence and run it on your own server. Softwr lists it under Field Service. FaciliWorks is made by CyberMetrics Corporation, available on Windows, Web, iOS, Android.

Overview

What FaciliWorks does

FaciliWorks is a computerised maintenance management system from CyberMetrics, sold in Essentials, Pro and Enterprise editions. It handles preventive maintenance scheduling, work orders, asset registers, parts inventory, purchasing, meter-based maintenance and reporting, with a mobile app for technicians. CyberMetrics also makes GAGEtrak for gauge calibration management, and the two products share a customer base in manufacturers that must evidence both maintenance and instrument calibration to an auditor. The distinguishing commercial fact in 2026 is licensing choice. Most CMMS vendors have withdrawn perpetual licences entirely and moved everyone to per-user subscription. FaciliWorks still offers both perpetual and subscription, on premise or hosted, with concurrent or node-locked seats. For an organisation that maintains equipment on a twenty-year horizon, dislikes recurring software cost, or operates on an air-gapped network where a cloud CMMS is simply not permitted, that combination is genuinely hard to find elsewhere and is often the deciding factor. Buyers are small and mid-size manufacturers, hospitals, municipalities, food processors and regulated plants, typically with a maintenance team rather than an enterprise asset function. The trade-off is modernity. FaciliWorks is a mature Windows-lineage product with a dated interface, its API and integration options are limited compared with cloud-native rivals, and the perpetual route still carries an annual maintenance and support fee that a buyer expecting a one-off purchase should factor in from the start.

What people use it for

  • A regulated manufacturer that must evidence both equipment maintenance and gauge calibration in one audit and wants both from one vendor
  • A defence or utility site on an isolated network where a cloud-only CMMS is not permitted by policy
  • A maintenance department that wants a capital purchase rather than a recurring subscription that grows with headcount
  • A plant with many occasional users where concurrent licensing costs far less than a named seat for every technician

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about FaciliWorks.

  • The interface is dated by cloud CMMS standards, which matters most for occasional users such as production supervisors raising a request, who will need training that a modern mobile-first tool would not require.
  • A perpetual licence still carries an annual maintenance and support fee, so the one-off purchase framing does not hold; without that fee you lose updates and support while keeping the right to run old code.
  • Integration options are thin, with a limited API and few prebuilt connectors, so linking FaciliWorks to an ERP or a condition monitoring platform usually means custom database-level work.
  • No pricing is published for any edition despite this being a mid-market product, so buyers cannot compare it against published per-user rivals without entering a sales process.
  • CyberMetrics is a small independent vendor, which means responsive support but also a thin partner ecosystem and no realistic second-source implementation help if the relationship goes wrong.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Can I still buy FaciliWorks outright?

Yes. Perpetual on-premise licensing is still offered alongside subscription, which is unusual in CMMS today.

Does a perpetual licence mean no recurring cost?

No. Annual maintenance and support is a separate ongoing fee, and dropping it costs you updates and support.

Is there concurrent licensing?

Yes. Concurrent seats let a large pool of occasional users share fewer licences, which is often cheaper than named seats.

Is pricing published?

No. All editions are quoted, so you must engage sales to get a comparable number.
