Poseidon Systems is a Rochester, New York company that builds condition monitoring hardware and software around fluid and oil analysis. Its Trident product line includes metallic wear debris sensors that count and size ferrous and non-ferrous particles in circulating oil, fluid quality sensors measuring moisture, temperature and dielectric properties, and multi-sensor systems such as the FQMS that combine both with a data concentrator. The software layer provides trending, alarming and remote access to the fluid condition data. The company began as a spinoff from Impact Technologies, a prognostics firm later acquired by Sikorsky, and retains a strong defence and aerospace drivetrain heritage.
