Olo: If you are a large brand needing enterprise scale ordering, dispatch and payments with heavy POS integration

First party ordering websites, apps and loyalty for growing multi unit restaurant brands
As of 31 August 2026, Lunchbox's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Direct ordering and guest data software sold to emerging chains as the way off marketplace commission. Softwr lists it under Restaurants. Lunchbox is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Lunchbox builds branded ordering websites and native mobile apps for restaurant groups, together with loyalty, guest profiles, marketing campaigns and integrations back into the point of sale. Orders placed on a brand own channels flow into the same kitchen workflow as other channels, and the guest data stays with the restaurant rather than the marketplace. The commercial argument is straightforward: a delivery marketplace takes a percentage of every order and keeps the customer record, while a first party channel costs a fixed monthly fee and returns the customer list. Where that argument holds depends entirely on order volume. A brand doing meaningful direct volume saves real money; a brand that installs the app and does nothing to drive traffic to it pays a fixed fee for a channel nobody uses. The vendor sells the software, not the demand. Buyers are chains of roughly five to fifty units, often fast casual, that have outgrown a generic ordering plugin but are not large enough for enterprise ordering platforms. The trade off is vendor scale. This is a venture funded company that has been through significant restructuring, so buyers should ask directly about roadmap commitments and integration maintenance before standardising on it.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Lunchbox.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Yes, native iOS and Android apps under your brand, built and submitted during onboarding for a one time fee on top of the subscription.
The restaurant. That is the central argument for first party ordering over marketplace ordering.
Multi unit groups, broadly five to fifty locations. Single sites usually do better with a cheaper ordering product.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Lunchbox, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish.
