Hostaway: Includes basic guest messaging and check-in, which may be enough without a second vendor

Guest experience layer for short-term rentals with digital check-in and paid upsells
As of 31 August 2026, Enso Connect starts at $9/month. A guest-facing layer that sits on top of a rental property management system, handling verification, digital check-in, door access and in-stay upselling. Softwr lists it under Travel. Enso Connect is made by Enso Connect Inc., available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Enso Connect is a guest experience platform for short-term rental operators and small boutique properties. It connects to a property management system such as Hostaway or Guesty and adds the guest-facing journey around the reservation: identity verification, deposit and agreement collection, a branded digital guidebook, keyless entry code delivery, in-stay messaging with AI-assisted replies, and paid upsells for early check-in, late checkout, mid-stay cleans and local experiences. The distinguishing thing commercially is that Enso Connect is partly a revenue-share product. The subscription is modest at roughly nine to sixteen US dollars per listing per month, but the platform takes a percentage, around five per cent, of the upsell revenue it processes. That inverts how you should evaluate it: an operator who never enables upsells pays almost nothing and gets a nicer check-in flow, while an operator whose upsells work pays the vendor a growing cut of a revenue stream that did not previously exist. Whether that is fair depends on whether you believe the upsells would have happened without it. Buyers are professional managers with roughly twenty to five hundred units who already have a competent PMS and want to differentiate the stay, plus apart-hotels blurring the line between rental and hotel. The trade-off is that Enso Connect is an addition, not a replacement, so it is a second system, a second integration to maintain and a second vendor in the guest data path. Operators with only a handful of properties rarely generate enough upsell volume to justify the operational overhead.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Enso Connect.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

No. It sits on top of Hostaway, Guesty or a similar platform and handles the guest-facing journey only.
Enso Connect takes a percentage, around five per cent, of upsell revenue processed through the platform, on top of the per-listing subscription.
Usually not. The per-listing cost is low but the configuration effort and the upsell volume needed to see a return favour portfolios of twenty units and up.
Yes, that is one of the main reasons operators add it, since Airbnb itself does not give hosts that control.
