Unmind

UK built workplace mental health platform combining therapy, coaching, manager training and a 24/7 helpline in one contract

As of 1 September 2026, Unmind's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Unmind bundles what most employers buy from three vendors: clinical therapy and coaching, preventative content and manager training, and a traditional EAP helpline with critical incident cover. Softwr lists it under HR. Unmind is made by Unmind Ltd, available on Web, iOS, Android.

Overview

What Unmind does

Unmind is a London based workplace mental health platform. It provides employees with access to therapists and coaches, short courses and preventative content, an AI guided support layer called Nova with clinical safeguards, accredited manager training, anonymised wellbeing insights for the employer, a 24 hour global helpline, critical incident response and practical work-life support covering matters such as money worries and family care. The distinguishing point is scope consolidation on a European footing. Large employers commonly run a digital wellbeing app, a separate therapy provider and a legacy employee assistance programme with a helpline, three contracts with overlapping utilisation reporting and no shared view of who is being helped. Unmind sells the whole stack under one agreement with one insights layer, and does it from a UK base, which matters for data residency, for UK and EU employment law framing in the manager training, and for having a helpline that answers in local hours across European sites. That is a genuinely different purchase from an American platform with an international bolt on. Buyers are UK and European headquartered enterprises and large mid-market employers, often with distributed international operations. Pricing is per employee per year, invoiced to the employer, and not published. The trade off is clinical depth: Unmind covers therapy and coaching well but is not a psychiatry and medication management business in the way Spring Health is, so employers with a population needing prescribing care will still route those cases into the health system. The breadth that makes it attractive also makes it harder to compare on price against a point solution.

What people use it for

  • A UK or EU headquartered employer consolidating a wellbeing app, a therapy provider and a legacy EAP into one contract and one insights view
  • A multinational needing a helpline that answers in local hours across European and Asian sites rather than a US-centric service
  • An HR team that needs accredited manager training framed for UK and EU employment law rather than American norms
  • An organisation that has had a serious workplace incident and wants critical incident response inside the same contract as ongoing care

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Unmind.

  • Psychiatry and medication management are not core, so populations needing prescribing care are routed into the health system and the employer sees no continuity of care for the most acute cases.
  • Pricing is per employee per year across the whole eligible population, so an employer with low engagement pays for a large denominator regardless of how many people use anything.
  • Bundling therapy, helpline, content and training into one price makes benchmarking against point solutions genuinely difficult, and consultants often cannot produce a like-for-like comparison.
  • United States provider depth and health plan integration are weaker than European coverage, so a US-heavy employer will find the network and the benefits integration less mature.
  • The anonymised insights layer requires minimum group sizes before reporting, so smaller teams and country sites, precisely where an HR team suspects a problem, return no data.

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Does Unmind replace our EAP?

It is designed to, including the 24/7 helpline and critical incident response. Confirm the specific helpline coverage hours and languages for each country you operate in.

How is it priced?

Per employee per year across the eligible population, invoiced to the employer. Rates are not published.

Does it offer psychiatry?

No, prescribing care is not the core offer. Therapy, coaching and helpline support are, with escalation into local health systems for medication management.

Is there a minimum headcount?

Yes in practice. Unmind targets large mid-market and enterprise employers, and small organisations are not the commercial focus.
