Campaign Monitor: If you want a platform with no ties to a broader software suite

Email marketing tool with a genuine free tier, priced by contact count once paid
As of 1 September 2026, Zoho Campaigns is free to use. Zoho's email marketing product, offering a free tier for up to 2,000 contacts and 6,000 emails a month, then scaling paid tiers by contact count with unlimited sending. Softwr lists it under Email Marketing. Zoho Campaigns is made by Zoho Corporation, available on Web.
Overview
Zoho Campaigns provides email campaign design, list management, basic automation workflows and reporting, with paid tiers unlocking A/B testing, advanced segmentation, custom user roles and webhooks as contact volume and plan level rise. It integrates natively with Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk and other Zoho apps without the connector fees or setup overhead a standalone platform would require. The distinguishing commercial fact is a genuinely usable free tier: up to 2,000 contacts and 6,000 emails a month at no cost, with five user seats, which is a real product for a small list rather than a crippled trial. Paid tiers, Standard and Professional, are priced by contact count starting from 500 contacts and scale up to 100,000 (Standard) or 500,000 (Professional) contacts respectively, with unlimited sending once on a paid plan. Buyers are small businesses and, disproportionately, existing Zoho customers who want email marketing that plugs directly into Zoho CRM data without extra integration work. The trade-off is the same one that applies across Zoho's suite: individual feature depth, template design quality and deliverability reputation management are less polished than a dedicated email specialist such as Klaviyo, and support quality varies with Zoho's broad, lower-touch support model.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Zoho Campaigns.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

It is a real, ongoing free tier for up to 2,000 contacts and 6,000 emails a month, not a time-limited trial.
Yes via Zapier and other connectors, but the native, no-extra-fee integration advantage is specific to other Zoho products.
No, they are separately purchased add-ons alongside the email plan.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Zoho Campaigns, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
