Rose Rocket is a hosted TMS whose selling point is what your customers see: a branded portal with self serve tracking and documents. Softwr lists it under Logistics. Rose Rocket is made by Rose Rocket Inc., available on Web, iOS, Android, API.
Overview
Rose Rocket is a Toronto company founded in 2015 that sells a cloud transportation management system to trucking carriers, with particular strength in less than truckload and final mile operations. It covers order entry, dispatch, planning, driver mobile capture, billing and reporting, and it exposes most of the system through a documented public API. The distinguishing element is the customer facing layer. Most carrier TMS products are inward facing, and a shipper wanting a status update calls or emails the carrier customer service desk. Rose Rocket ships a branded shipper portal as a core part of the product, so a carrier can give its customers self serve quoting, order submission, tracking and document retrieval without building a website. For a regional LTL carrier competing against national networks that already offer this, it removes a concrete objection during a bid, and that is the commercial argument the vendor makes and the one that usually lands. Buyers are small and mid size North American carriers, typically from a few dozen to a few hundred power units, often in LTL, courier or final mile where shipment counts are high and the shipper expects visibility. The trade off is the back office. Settlements, driver pay complexity and financial controls are lighter than McLeod or the older asset carrier systems, and a carrier with layered owner operator pay schemes will find itself doing more outside the system than it expected.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Rose Rocket.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

LTL, courier and final mile are where the planning and portal features earn their cost. Truckload works but uses less of the product.
Basic pay handling is present. Complex owner operator schemes usually need work outside the system.
Yes, and it is one of the reasons carriers with development capacity choose it.
