Onclusive

Media monitoring, journalist database and PR measurement assembled from six acquired companies

As of 31 August 2026, Onclusive's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A PR and communications intelligence platform covering print, broadcast, online and social monitoring plus a media contacts database. Softwr lists it under Marketing. Onclusive is available on Web, iOS, Android, API.

Overview

What Onclusive does

Onclusive monitors earned media and measures its effect. It tracks coverage across roughly three million online sources, seventy thousand print outlets, six thousand broadcast channels and more than twenty-five social platforms, applies sentiment and share-of-voice analysis, provides a journalist and influencer contacts database with outreach and newsroom tooling, and reports on how coverage relates to web traffic and business outcomes. A newer module tracks how a brand appears in AI-generated answers. The fact a buyer needs before signing is that Onclusive is a rollup. Symphony Technology Group assembled it in January 2022 by combining Kantar Reputation Intelligence, PRgloo and the original Onclusive, then acquired Critical Mention in May 2022 and Digimind in July 2022, with Digimind rebranded as Onclusive Social that October. Debt financing for the Critical Mention deal came from Stellus Capital Management. Six products from six engineering cultures were merged in under a year, and users still report inconsistencies in interface, data definitions and support quality across modules. If your requirement is broadcast monitoring, you are really buying the Critical Mention lineage; if it is social listening, you are buying Digimind. Ask which underlying platform serves your primary use case and evaluate that specifically rather than the unified marketing narrative. Buyers are in-house communications teams at large organisations and PR agencies serving them, particularly where multi-country coverage and broadcast monitoring are required and a single global vendor is politically preferable to three regional ones. Pricing is quoted, annual and not published.

What people use it for

  • A multinational communications team that needs print, broadcast and online coverage across twenty markets reported in one dashboard rather than through three regional vendors
  • A public affairs team that must evidence share of voice against named competitors for a quarterly board report
  • A PR agency running press office and media enquiry workflow for several client brands from one system
  • A corporate affairs function that needs early warning on a coverage spike outside its own time zone, with broadcast clips retrievable for legal review

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Onclusive.

  • Onclusive was assembled from at least six acquired companies inside about a year, and users still encounter different interfaces, inconsistent data definitions and separate support paths depending on which module they are in, so training and internal reporting are harder than a single-product vendor.
  • Pricing is not published and is scoped by market coverage, source count and user seats, which makes competitive benchmarking difficult and means renewal increases are hard to challenge without a parallel quote from Cision or Meltwater.
  • Broadcast monitoring coverage is uneven by country, so a global contract can look complete on paper while a specific market you care about has thin local radio or regional television coverage; verify your priority markets by name before signing.
  • The company carries private-equity ownership and acquisition-related debt financing, which historically in this category has meant pressure on support headcount and above-inflation renewal pricing rather than product investment.
  • Automated sentiment classification on news copy remains error-prone, especially for irony, quoted criticism and industry jargon, so teams reporting sentiment to executives generally need a human review step that erodes the labour saving the tool was bought for.
