Zoho Expense: If you want published low cost pricing and only need expense reporting rather than card issuing

Corporate cards and intake to pay for Indian businesses
As of 1 September 2026, Kodo's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. An Indian spend platform issuing corporate cards and running purchase to payment workflow with GST aware coding. Softwr lists it under Accounting. Kodo is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Kodo issues corporate cards, runs vendor payouts and automates the intake to pay chain for Indian companies: purchase request, approval, invoice capture, three way check and payment, with coding to Tally, Zoho, Oracle and SAP. Its practical strength is Indian tax and payments plumbing that foreign tools do not have, including GST treatment on invoices, TDS handling and payouts over NEFT, RTGS, IMPS and UPI. The structural fact a buyer needs is that Kodo is not a bank. Cards are issued under a partner bank and card network arrangement, and the credit limit, settlement cycle and eligibility criteria are set by that bank, not by Kodo. In India this matters more than elsewhere because Reserve Bank of India rules on prepaid instruments and on card issuing partnerships have changed repeatedly, and a partnership change has in the past forced Indian fintechs to reissue cards or pause new issuance. Ask which bank sponsors the programme, what happens to your limits if that partnership changes, and whether cards are credit or prepaid, because those are three different products with the same plastic. Buyers are Indian startups and mid sized companies, often venture funded, replacing founder personal cards and manual bank transfers. The trade off is scope: Kodo is India first, so a company with overseas subsidiaries gets no card coverage there, and pricing is quoted rather than published, which makes benchmarking against Happay or Zoho Expense a sales process rather than a comparison.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Kodo.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

A partner bank under a card network arrangement, not Kodo. Ask which bank, whether the product is credit or prepaid, and what happens to your limits if the partnership changes.
No. Kodo quotes per customer, so benchmark against at least two Indian rivals before signing.
No meaningful coverage outside India for card issuing or payouts.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Kodo, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
