Fintecture

French open banking payments built around B2B invoice collection

As of 1 September 2026, Fintecture's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A Paris provider whose focus is business to business payment collection rather than retail checkout, including instalment terms and payment links tied to invoices. Softwr lists it under APIs. Fintecture is available on Web, API.

Overview

What Fintecture does

Fintecture provides account to account payments through open banking with a product line aimed at business to business collection: payment links attached to invoices, immediate bank transfers, deferred and instalment payment options, and reconciliation data that matches payments back to invoices automatically. It also supports card and other methods so a supplier can offer one payment page. What distinguishes it is the segment. Most open banking payment providers chase retail checkout, where average values are low and card competition is fierce. Fintecture went after wholesale, construction supply, professional services and other sectors where invoices are large, card acceptance is expensive or refused, and the real pain is chasing which bank transfer belongs to which invoice. Automatic reconciliation is the feature that sells it, not the payment itself. Buyers are French suppliers, wholesalers and business services firms collecting from other businesses. The trade offs: coverage and adoption outside France are much weaker, so a European rollout is a French deployment plus experiments; deferred and instalment options mean credit risk that is underwritten by a partner, with acceptance rules you do not set; and as an initiator rather than an acquirer, Fintecture leaves refunds, disputes and settlement arrangements with the supplier.

What people use it for

  • A French wholesaler collecting large invoice payments where card acceptance cost is prohibitive
  • A supplier that spends hours each week matching incoming bank transfers to open invoices
  • A business offering trade customers instalment terms without carrying the credit risk itself
  • A professional services firm sending payment links with each invoice rather than bank details in an email

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Fintecture.

  • Coverage and merchant adoption are heavily French, so a European rollout means strong performance in one market and a thin experience in the rest.
  • Deferred and instalment payment relies on a financing partner that sets acceptance criteria, so your business customers can be declined for reasons you cannot see or influence.
  • As a payment initiator rather than an acquirer, Fintecture leaves refunds, disputes and settlement structure with the supplier, and there is no chargeback framework at all.
  • Business to business bank payments require the payer to authenticate with their bank, and corporate banking authentication with dual approval is materially clunkier than consumer app redirects, which hurts conversion on large invoices.
  • It is a smaller supplier than the pan European open banking firms, so bank API breakage outside France may take longer to fix and support depth is a legitimate procurement concern.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Is Fintecture aimed at retail checkout?

No. Its design centre is business to business invoice collection, where average values are high and reconciliation is the real problem.

Who carries the risk on deferred payment?

A financing partner underwrites it, which means acceptance criteria and declines are set outside your control.

Does it work outside France?

It operates in other European markets, but coverage and adoption are markedly weaker than in France.
