Digital banking platform for US banks and credit unions, with a developer marketplace
As of 1 September 2026, Q2 Digital Banking's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. The retail and commercial digital banking front end used by many US community banks and credit unions. Softwr lists it under APIs. Q2 Digital Banking is made by Q2 Holdings Inc, available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Q2 provides the digital channel layer for US banks and credit unions: retail online and mobile banking, commercial and treasury management, onboarding, and fraud and risk analytics that observe user behaviour across the platform. It sits over the bank core rather than replacing it, integrating with the major US core providers. What separates it from the core vendors that bundle digital banking is extensibility. The Q2 Innovation Studio and partner marketplace let a bank enable third-party capabilities, from financial wellness to small business tools, or build its own features with an SDK, without the vendor writing them. For a community bank competing against national brands on app quality, that is the difference between an annual release cycle and shipping something this quarter. The commercial and treasury management side is also stronger than most community bank platforms, which is why banks chasing business deposits choose it. Buyers are US community and regional banks and credit unions. The trade-off is cost and contract length: multi-year agreements with per-user or per-account pricing and substantial implementation, at a scale that stretches smaller institutions.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Q2 Digital Banking.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.
