Epos Now supplies cloud point of sale software and terminals to hospitality and retail businesses, mostly small independents, across the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Australia. The system covers till operations, menu and product management, staff logins, stock, reporting and an application store of third party add ons, with payment processing offered by the vendor. The commercial mechanics matter more than the feature list. Hardware is frequently supplied under a finance or lease arrangement with a third party rather than sold outright, and card processing is contracted separately from the software subscription. That produces three agreements with different termination terms attached to one till, and a merchant who stops using the software can remain liable for equipment payments for the remainder of a multi year term.
