Aloha POS: The other established enterprise POS in quick service, with a comparable franchise install base

Cloud point of sale for enterprise quick service chains and their franchisees
As of 31 August 2026, PAR Brink POS's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. An enterprise cloud POS built for franchised quick service brands, where the franchisor selects the system and the franchisee pays for it. Softwr lists it under Restaurants. PAR Brink POS is made by PAR Technology, available on Web, Android, Windows.
Overview
PAR Brink POS is a cloud point of sale used by large quick service and fast casual chains, sold alongside PAR own loyalty, ordering, back office and hardware products. It supports enterprise menu and price management across franchise estates, drive through operations, kitchen video, and open interfaces for third party ordering and delivery integration. The distinguishing characteristic is corporate structure rather than software. PAR Technology is a listed company that has spent recent years buying its way into a full restaurant technology suite, taking in Punchh for loyalty, MENU for ordering, Stuzo and TASK Group, while divesting its long standing government business to become a restaurant technology pure play. For buyers this means a single vendor can now supply POS, loyalty, ordering and back office, but the modules arrived from different companies and the integration between them is a work in progress rather than a finished product. Buyers are franchisors specifying an estate standard and the franchisees who then implement it. The trade off is that the model assumes chain scale: pricing is per site with hardware and implementation on top, decisions are made centrally, and an independent operator gains little from a platform designed around brand level control.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about PAR Brink POS.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Almost always the franchisor, as an estate standard. The franchisee implements and pays for it.
Yes, through Punchh, which PAR acquired. It is licensed separately from the POS.
Not really. The value is in central control across many sites, which an independent does not need and still pays for.
Terminals continue to operate through network interruptions, which matters in drive through environments where a stall is measured in seconds.
