Calabrio ONE

Workforce management, quality and analytics suite for contact centres, now owned by Verint

As of 31 August 2026, Calabrio ONE's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Calabrio ONE is a forecasting, scheduling and quality suite that built its reputation as the friendlier alternative to Verint. Softwr lists it under Customer Support. Calabrio ONE is made by Verint (formerly Calabrio, Inc.), available on Web, iOS, Android.

Overview

What Calabrio ONE does

Calabrio ONE is a workforce engagement suite for contact centres covering forecasting, automated scheduling, intraday management, real-time adherence, agent self-service shift swapping, call and screen recording, quality management and speech analytics. It is sold as a cloud platform that layers on top of whichever CCaaS or telephony platform an organisation already runs, and it is one of the small number of independent workforce management products certified across the major cloud contact centre vendors. The fact that changes a shortlist is ownership. Thoma Bravo completed a roughly two billion dollar take-private of Verint in November 2025 and combined it with Calabrio, its existing portfolio company; Calabrio chief executive Dave Rhodes became chief executive of the combined business, calabrio.com now redirects to verint.com, and the combined company has been through significant layoffs. Verint has stated that Calabrio products will continue to be supported and enhanced with no forced migration, which is the correct thing to say and also what every acquirer says. Anyone who put Calabrio on a shortlist specifically to avoid Verint needs to redo that evaluation. The buyers are contact centre operations leaders running several hundred to several thousand agents who need real forecasting and adherence rather than the thin scheduling included with their CCaaS licence. The trade-off is that this is enterprise workforce optimisation with the usual characteristics: quoted pricing in the region of 75 US dollars per agent per month and upwards depending on modules, no free trial, a professional services implementation, and a forecasting engine that rewards operations teams who understand queueing theory and frustrates those who do not.

What people use it for

  • A 1,200-seat contact centre on Amazon Connect needing forecasting and adherence that the native scheduling tools do not provide
  • A multi-site operation replacing spreadsheet rostering that no longer copes with skills-based routing and part-time shift patterns
  • A retailer forecasting seasonal contact volume across voice, chat and email to decide temporary hiring numbers months ahead
  • A compliance-bound centre needing call and screen recording with retention and redaction controls independent of its telephony vendor

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Calabrio ONE.

  • Ownership changed in November 2025 when Thoma Bravo took Verint private and merged it with Calabrio, so the product is no longer the independent alternative to Verint that most shortlists put it on for, and roadmap priorities across two overlapping suites will be decided by one company.
  • The combined business has run substantial layoffs following the buyout, which raises real questions about support responsiveness and module investment that a prospective buyer should press on in contract negotiation.
  • Pricing is quoted per agent per month, commonly cited from around 75 US dollars, with analytics and quality sold as separate modules, so the headline figure understates a full suite deployment considerably.
  • There is no free trial and no self-service tier, meaning evaluating the forecasting engine against your own historical data requires a sales-led proof of concept measured in weeks.
  • The forecasting and scheduling engine assumes an operations team that can configure shift rules, service level targets and skill routing correctly; deployed by a team without that expertise it produces schedules people override manually, which negates the reason to buy it.
