Supernormal: Also captures without a bot, with credit-based pricing and generated documents rather than transcript video editing

Bot-free meeting recorder and AI note taker that runs as a browser extension
As of 31 August 2026, Bluedot has a free plan and paid plans start at $14/month. Records Google Meet, Zoom and Teams from the browser rather than joining as a visible participant, and lets you edit the resulting video by deleting words from the transcript. Softwr lists it under Productivity. Bluedot is available on Web, Chrome, macOS, Windows.
Overview
Bluedot is a Chrome extension and desktop application that captures online meetings without dialling a bot into the call. It transcribes, produces summaries against templates for sales calls, customer check-ins, interviews and Q&A sessions, and includes a transcript-driven video editor where deleting a sentence from the text removes the corresponding footage from the recording. Notes push into CRM and applicant tracking systems on the higher tier. Two things distinguish it commercially. The first is bot-free capture, which matters in client-facing and recruitment settings where a visible third-party participant prompts a consent conversation and often a refusal. The second is the seat model: pricing is per workspace with charges applying only to users who actually record, so a team of thirty where four people run the calls does not pay thirty seats. Most competitors charge for everyone with an account, and for organisations where note reading is widespread and note taking is not, that difference decides the total bill. Pricing is published in full, from a free tier of five lifetime meetings to Business at $32 a month billed annually. The distinctions between tiers are unusually consequential: Basic at $14 records audio only and caps recordings at one hour, so anything longer or anything needing video requires Pro at $20. The retention policy also deserves attention before adoption, because cancelling ends access immediately and recordings are permanently deleted thirty days later, which makes Bluedot a poor place to hold a meeting archive you may need after the relationship ends.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Bluedot.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Bluedot, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
