Zappi

Automated consumer insights platform for testing advertising, product concepts and brand health

As of 31 August 2026, Zappi's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Zappi turns market research studies into repeatable templates run against its own respondent panels, which is why a concept test comes back in hours rather than weeks. Softwr lists it under Research. Zappi is available on Web.

Overview

What Zappi does

Zappi is an automated consumer insights platform used to test advertising creative, product and packaging concepts, pricing and brand health. Rather than commissioning a bespoke study each time, a team picks a validated template, supplies the stimulus, selects an audience and receives structured results with normative benchmarks in a standard format. Every study run stays in the platform, so results accumulate into a comparable body of evidence rather than a folder of one-off decks. The distinguishing property is that accumulation. Because studies use the same instruments, a brand team can compare this quarterly advertisement against every other advertisement it has tested, and Zappi builds AI models over that history. That is a genuine advantage over commissioning agency research, where each study is methodologically unique and therefore not comparable to the last, and it is why Zappi customers are large consumer goods and beverage companies running high volumes of similar tests. Buyers are insights functions at large brands and their agencies, not small businesses. The commercial model is a Premium or Enterprise platform subscription with unlimited users, funded by a credit bundle scoped to a year of expected research volume, plus optional services. Nothing is published, credits are prepaid against a forecast, and forecasting research volume a year ahead is exactly the thing insights teams are worst at.

What people use it for

  • A beverage brand screening thirty flavour concepts before committing to two for consumer testing
  • A marketing team pre-testing three advertising edits in a day so a media booking deadline can be met
  • An insights function replacing repeated ad-hoc agency studies with a comparable, accumulating body of test results
  • A brand manager running continuous brand health tracking without negotiating a separate tracker contract each year

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Zappi.

  • Nothing is published: pricing is a platform subscription plus a prepaid credit bundle quoted per customer, so a buyer cannot benchmark the cost against agency research without going through sales.
  • Credits are prepaid against a forecast of the year ahead, which means a team that overestimates research volume ends the year having paid for studies it never ran.
  • The template model that makes studies fast also constrains them; a research question that does not fit a validated instrument either gets forced into one or goes to an agency anyway.
  • Normative benchmarks are strongest in fast-moving consumer goods categories where Zappi has depth, and thinner in business-to-business, financial services and niche categories, where the comparison numbers mean less.
  • Because respondents come from Zappi-sourced panels, sample composition is a vendor decision rather than yours, and any team that needs a bespoke recruitment specification or a low-incidence audience will find the automated route unsuitable.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Does Zappi publish prices?

No. It publishes the structure, a platform subscription plus credits plus optional services, but not the numbers.

How fast do results come back?

Automated tests typically return within hours to a day, which is the main reason teams choose it over a commissioned study.

Do we still need an agency?

For standard concept, creative and brand tests, usually not. For bespoke methodologies and hard-to-reach audiences, yes.

Is there a per-seat charge?

No. Both published tiers include unlimited users; the variable cost is research credits.
