SampleManager LIMS manages sample registration, testing workflows, specifications, results entry, out of specification handling, stability studies, instrument calibration and maintenance, environmental monitoring and reporting in laboratories operating under regulatory scrutiny. It is deployable as a Thermo Fisher managed AWS service, on premise, or in the customer own cloud, with an annual hosting fee calculated on licence count. What sets it apart commercially is scope in a single product. Many competitors sell LIMS, a laboratory execution system for step by step method enforcement, and a scientific data management system for instrument file capture as three purchases with three integrations. SampleManager includes all three, which removes integration projects that routinely add six figures and months to a LIMS programme. That is worth more than any individual feature comparison. Buyers are pharmaceutical QC, chemical, petrochemical, food and water testing laboratories, generally at enterprise scale. The trade-off is implementation.
