Salesforce: If a properly configured Lightning page layout and a bit of automation would fix the data entry problem without another subscription

Faster workspace over Salesforce for sales reps to update pipeline, take notes and manage deals
As of 31 August 2026, Scratchpad has a free plan and paid plans start at $19/month. Scratchpad is a spreadsheet-fast layer on top of Salesforce that reps will actually use, plus a notetaker that writes call outcomes back into fields. Softwr lists it under CRM. Scratchpad is available on Web, Chrome extension.
Overview
Scratchpad gives sales representatives an alternative interface to Salesforce: pipeline views that behave like a spreadsheet with inline editing, deal and account workspaces, notes that attach to records, and a call recorder and notetaker that extracts field updates from a meeting and writes them back to Salesforce. It also gives managers hygiene monitoring that flags stale or incomplete records and forecast views built on the same data. The commercial insight behind it is that customer relationship management data quality is an interface problem, not a process problem. Companies spend on forecasting tools that read Salesforce while the underlying records stay wrong because updating them is tedious. Scratchpad attacks the tedium, and its free tier is unusually generous for the category: a full workspace limited to three views, ten hours a month of call recording, AI field updates and 100 AI credits per user, which means a team can prove the hygiene improvement before anyone signs a contract. Buyers are sales operations and revenue operations teams at Salesforce-based companies with roughly 10 to 300 representatives. The constraint that decides most evaluations is that Scratchpad is Salesforce-only with no HubSpot support. Beyond that, the paid tiers meter AI credits monthly, sync timing with Salesforce can lag, and there is no proper native mobile application, so a field sales team updating records between meetings will be doing it in a browser.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Scratchpad.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

No. It is Salesforce-only.
Yes for an individual: full workspace with three views, 10 hours of recording and 100 AI credits a month. Teams outgrow it on views and credits.
No. Every user still needs their own Salesforce licence; Scratchpad is an interface on top.
Notetaking, summarisation, field update suggestions and agent queries. Enterprise removes the cap.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Scratchpad, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish.
