Little Hotelier: If you want SiteMinder channel connectivity direct from the vendor that owns it
Per room hotel and hostel PMS with published prices and monthly minimums
As of 1 September 2026, Roomsy has a free plan and paid plans start at $2/month. A small-property PMS charging $2 to $8 per room per month with a floor on every tier, and a genuinely free plan for a booking calendar and booking engine. Softwr lists it under Travel. Roomsy is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Roomsy is a cloud property management system for small hotels, motels, hostels, guesthouses and vacation rental operators. It provides a booking calendar, rate and inventory management, an online booking engine, invoicing, reporting, housekeeping status and two-way channel connectivity to Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda, TripAdvisor and Hostelworld among others. What distinguishes it commercially is that it publishes a full per room price ladder with the minimums attached, which almost no PMS vendor does. Starter is $2 per room per month with a $40 monthly floor, Essential $4 with an $80 floor, Pro $6 with a $160 floor and Executive $8 with a $320 floor. Those floors are the number that matters: a twelve room motel on Essential pays the $80 minimum, which is $6.67 per room, not $4. Anyone comparing per room rates across vendors without reading the floor will misjudge the cost. Buyers are independent properties under about sixty rooms, hostels and small motel groups, mostly in North America. The trade-off is depth. There is no revenue management, no native POS and no serious group or corporate rate handling, and channel connectivity for some OTAs runs through SiteMinder rather than direct, which adds a dependency in the middle of your distribution.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Roomsy.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

$120 a month on Essential, which is above the $80 floor. Below twenty rooms you pay the floor instead of the per room rate.
Essential at $4 per room per month with an $80 minimum. Free and Starter do not include it.
For a booking calendar, invoicing and a direct booking engine, yes. Without OTA connections most properties will outgrow it quickly.
No. You pay the subscription only.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Roomsy, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
