Tuum: If you want a newer, similarly modular core banking platform with strength in the DACH and Middle East markets

Composable cloud core banking platform used by banks, lenders and fintechs in 65-plus countries
As of 1 September 2026, Mambu's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A cloud-native core banking platform built around independently assembled engines rather than one monolithic system, letting a bank or lender configure only the components it needs. Softwr lists it under APIs. Mambu is available on Web, API.
Overview
Mambu provides core banking infrastructure, accounts, deposits, lending, and the surrounding orchestration to connect these to other systems, delivered as a cloud SaaS product built on what it calls composable banking: independent engines, systems and connectors that a bank assembles into a configuration matching its specific product needs, rather than adopting a fixed, all-in-one core. The distinguishing fact is category leadership by tenure: Mambu pioneered the composable banking model over a decade ago, well before most competitors including Thought Machine and 10x Banking framed their own products in similar terms, and its 65-country footprint spans banks, lenders, fintechs and retailers rather than one narrow segment. That maturity is a genuine differentiator versus newer core banking entrants still building out reference customers and regional coverage. Buyers are banks and lenders, from digital-first challengers to established institutions doing a core modernisation, needing to launch or migrate deposit and lending products without a multi-year monolithic core replacement project. The trade-off is that, as with essentially every core banking platform in this category, pricing is subscription-based but not published, so cost comparison against Thought Machine, 10x Banking or Tuum requires separate sales conversations with each, and any of these platforms represents a multi-year implementation commitment once selected.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Mambu.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Mambu, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
