Skaleet: If you want a cloud-native core that deploys in months rather than years

Established core banking system used by banks in over a hundred countries
As of 1 September 2026, Temenos Transact's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. The most widely deployed third-party core banking system, with country model banks covering local regulation in a long list of markets. Softwr lists it under APIs. Temenos Transact is made by Temenos AG, available on Web, Linux, Windows, REST API.
Overview
Temenos Transact, formerly T24, is a core banking system handling accounts, deposits, lending, payments, treasury and accounting for retail, corporate, private and Islamic banking. Its country model banks package local regulatory, tax and reporting requirements for individual markets, which is why it appears in banks across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe where local compliance would otherwise be a bespoke build. The distinguishing asset is not architecture but coverage and ecosystem. There are more implementation partners, more consultants and more people who have done a Transact migration than for any competing core, which lowers execution risk on a project type where execution risk is the main danger. The counterpart is technical debt: the product dates to the 1990s, and although Temenos has moved it toward cloud deployment and API access, banks running older versions face substantial upgrade programmes to reach current releases. Buyers are banks of all sizes, particularly outside the largest Western markets. The trade-off is cost and rigidity: licensing, annual maintenance and implementation partner fees are large, and product changes that a cloud-native core treats as configuration can require development and a release here.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Temenos Transact.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Yes. T24 was renamed Temenos Transact; older installations and much of the consultant population still use the T24 name.
Yes, it is offered on public cloud, though many existing installations remain on-premises and moving them is a project.
Licence scaled by size, annual maintenance as a percentage of licence, and implementation partner fees that usually exceed the software cost.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Temenos Transact, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
