Applied Epic: Deeper United States carrier connectivity and download, which is the reason most American agencies cannot leave it

Broker and MGA management platform built natively on Salesforce
As of 31 August 2026, Novidea's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. An insurance distribution platform for brokers, MGAs and wholesalers that runs entirely on Salesforce. Softwr lists it under Insurance. Novidea is available on Web, iOS, Android, API.
Overview
Novidea is a management system for insurance distributors: retail brokers, wholesale brokers, managing general agents and coverholders. It handles the client and risk record, submissions and placement, policy and endorsement administration, commission and revenue tracking, credit control and management reporting. It is used for commercial and speciality business, including Lloyd's market placements, and is sold internationally rather than into a single national market. Its defining characteristic is architectural. Novidea is built as a native Salesforce application rather than a standalone system with a Salesforce connector, so the client record, the reporting layer, the workflow engine and the permission model are the Salesforce ones. For a broker that already runs Salesforce this removes an entire integration and gives the executive team a single reporting surface across pipeline and in-force book. The cost side is the part vendors gloss over: you licence Salesforce seats separately from Novidea seats, and for a broker with a hundred users that second line item is material and recurring. Model it before comparing headline prices with a standalone system. Buyers are typically international or speciality brokers who found that national agency management systems do not handle multi-currency, multi-entity or non-admitted placements well, and who want analytics over the book rather than a policy filing cabinet. The trade-off against an incumbent agency system in the United States is carrier connectivity: Novidea is not built around American personal lines carrier download, so an agency whose economics depend on automated download from dozens of carriers is looking at the wrong product.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Novidea.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Novidea, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
