Overview
Five Sigma is a cloud claims management platform covering notice of loss, claim file handling, reserves, payments, vendor assignment, litigation tracking and reporting. It layers automation and decision support over the adjuster workflow, including document and correspondence handling, task recommendation and outlier detection on reserves and cycle time. It supports multiple lines, with property, auto and general liability the common deployments. What makes it commercially distinct is where it sits in the market. Claims platforms have historically been either a module of a multi-year core suite programme or a homegrown system that grew out of a spreadsheet. Third-party administrators, managing general agents and small carriers fall between those, needing a real claims system without a core replacement budget. Five Sigma sells into that gap and competes on implementation time rather than on the depth of a Guidewire deployment. The claim to test in a proof of concept is whether the automation reduces adjuster handling time on your actual claim mix, because the value case rests on that number rather than on features. The trade-offs are the usual ones for a younger vendor in a conservative market. Reference customers are fewer, the integrator ecosystem is thin, and carrier procurement teams will scrutinise financial viability for a system meant to hold claim records for decades. Buyers who take it accept those risks in exchange for a system that runs in months and does not require a dedicated internal delivery team.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Five Sigma.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Third-party administrators, MGAs and small to mid-sized carriers that need a real claims system without a core suite budget.
ClaimCenter has far more depth, references and integrator support, and costs correspondingly more with a longer implementation. Five Sigma competes on time to live.
Adjuster handling time on your own claim mix. The commercial case rests on that measurement, not on the feature list.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Five Sigma, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish.
