Hippo CMMS

Straightforward maintenance management, now part of Eptura

As of 30 August 2026, Hippo CMMS's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A deliberately simple CMMS known for interactive facility maps, absorbed into Eptura and no longer sold as a standalone product to new buyers. Softwr lists it under Manufacturing. Hippo CMMS is made by Eptura, available on Web, iOS, Android.

Overview

What Hippo CMMS does

Hippo CMMS is a maintenance management system that built its reputation on being simpler than its competitors. Work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment records and vendor management, without the configuration depth that makes enterprise CMMS implementations long. Its distinctive feature was interactive floor plans and site maps, where assets are placed on a drawing and a work order is raised by clicking the thing that broke. It was acquired by Eptura, formed from the merger of iOFFICE and Condeco, and its capabilities now sit inside the Eptura Asset product line. Existing customers continue to be served, but new buyers are directed to Eptura rather than to Hippo as a standalone purchase. That status is the most important thing to know about it. It is listed here because it remains in use and appears on comparison shortlists, not because it is an active independent product. Anyone evaluating it today is really evaluating Eptura Asset, with a different price list and a broader workplace management scope.

What people use it for

  • Facilities teams wanting a CMMS that a non-specialist can operate
  • Sites where locating an asset on a floor plan is the natural way to find it
  • Existing Hippo customers evaluating whether to stay within Eptura
  • Organisations wanting maintenance inside a broader workplace management suite

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Hippo CMMS.

  • No longer sold as a standalone product, so a new evaluation is really an Eptura evaluation with a different scope and price
  • Pricing is not published, which makes it hard to compare against MaintainX or Limble without a sales process
  • The simplicity that was its selling point becomes a ceiling for organisations with complex asset hierarchies
  • Reporting is basic against competitors that have invested heavily in analytics
  • Product direction now follows Eptura workplace strategy rather than maintenance-specific needs

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Is Hippo CMMS still available?

Not as a standalone purchase. It was acquired by Eptura and its capabilities are part of Eptura Asset. Existing customers are still served.

What was distinctive about it?

Interactive facility maps. Placing assets on a floor plan and raising work orders from the drawing is a genuinely different way to navigate a site, and it is why it retained users against slicker competitors.

What does it cost?

Not published. Eptura quotes, which is a change from Hippo, whose pricing was easier to establish.

Should a new buyer consider it?

Evaluate Eptura Asset on its own terms, against MaintainX and Limble. Choosing it because of Hippo reviews written before the acquisition is a mistake.

What happens to existing customers?

They continue to be supported within Eptura. The practical question is whether the broader workplace suite fits, since that is where the product roadmap now points.
