RevenueCat: A larger ecosystem and a single 1 percent rate that bundles in features Adapty charges for separately

In-app subscription and paywall platform, free below 5,000 USD of monthly revenue then 1 percent, with add-ons charged separately
As of 30 August 2026, Adapty is free to use. Subscription infrastructure and a no-code paywall builder for mobile apps, priced at 1 percent of monthly revenue above a 5,000 USD threshold. Softwr lists it under Mobile Development. Adapty is made by Adapty Tech Inc., available on iOS, Android, Web.
Overview
Adapty provides the same category of infrastructure as RevenueCat: an SDK that reports purchases, a backend that validates receipts and resolves entitlement state across App Store and Google Play, and analytics on subscription revenue, churn and cohorts. Its distinguishing product is the paywall builder, a visual editor that lets a growth or marketing person design and target paywalls, then A/B test them, without an app release and without engineering involvement. The company is Adapty Tech Inc. The pricing is where a shortlist changes, and it needs reading carefully. The base is free up to 5,000 USD of monthly revenue, then 1 percent of monthly revenue, calculated in USD before platform fees exactly as with its main competitor. The higher free threshold is a real advantage for a small app. The complication is the add-on menu: Refund Saver adds 0.2 percent of monthly revenue, Ads Manager takes 3.5 percent of monthly ad spend, Attribution costs 0.03 USD per attributed install, and Adapty Mail is a 20 percent revenue share on the revenue it generates. A team that adopts several of these is not paying 1 percent, and the total is only knowable after the fact. The buyer is a consumer subscription app with an active growth function, particularly one where a marketer rather than an engineer owns paywall experimentation. The trade-offs are the stacked percentages, a smaller ecosystem and integration list than the market leader, and the same structural dependency: entitlement state and paywall configuration live with the vendor, so switching later means an engineering project alongside a marketing one.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Adapty.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Firebase: The no-revenue-share route using store billing and Remote Config, at the cost of building the plumbing yourself

Braze: Better when the requirement is cross-channel lifecycle messaging rather than subscription infrastructure

1 percent of monthly revenue, measured in USD before platform fees, with billing starting once you exceed 5,000 USD in a 30 day period.
On the base product yes, 5,000 USD against 2,500 USD of monthly revenue, but add-ons are priced separately where the competitor bundles more into its single rate.
Yes, that is the main reason teams choose it; paywalls are configured server side and published without going through app review.
It responds to Apple refund requests with transaction evidence to contest them, and it costs an additional 0.2 percent of monthly revenue.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Adapty, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
