Vetstoria puts a booking widget on a veterinary practice website and syncs bidirectionally with the practice information management system, so a client booking at eleven at night takes a genuine slot in the vet diary with the right duration, the right clinician and the right appointment type. It supports deposits and payments at the point of booking, appointment triage rules, and multi site practices with different rules per branch. The fact that matters commercially is ownership and geography. Vetstoria is part of Petvisor, the group that also owns PetDesk, WhiskerCloud and Kontak, and which took over 100 million dollars from Apax Digital in 2023. In the United States the product is sold under the PetDesk brand, so an American buyer researching Vetstoria is looking at a name that is not the one they will contract under, and a British or Australian buyer is contracting with a group whose commercial centre of gravity is now North American. Buyers are independent practices and small groups in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Pricing is published, banded by number of practising clinicians, and quoted in local currency by region, which is unusual and welcome in veterinary software. The trade off is that it is a booking layer only. It is not a PIMS, not a client communication suite, and its usefulness collapses if your PIMS integration is one of the weaker ones.

It is a booking layer and nothing else, so a practice also wanting reminders, two way client messaging, loyalty or marketing buys a second product, most likely a sibling Petvisor brand, and pays two subscriptions.
Pricing bands are set by number of practising clinicians and step up sharply, so a practice adding a fourth or eighth vet crosses a band boundary and takes a large percentage price rise for one hire.
In the United States the product is sold as PetDesk rather than Vetstoria, so American buyers comparing the two are often comparing the same underlying company against itself without realising it.
Value depends entirely on the depth of your PIMS integration, and the quality varies considerably between systems; on a weaker integration you lose the real time write back that is the entire reason to buy it.
Website plans carry one off setup fees running into the thousands of euros on top of a monthly fee, which turns an apparently modest booking subscription into a significant first year cost if you take the bundle.
