ezyVet: A cloud system from the same owner that is sold worldwide, so it suits groups spanning Europe and North America

Browser-based practice management for European small-animal clinics, owned by IDEXX
As of 31 August 2026, Animana's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A cloud practice management system built in Amsterdam and now owned by IDEXX, sold across the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, France, Spain and Germany. Softwr lists it under Veterinary. Animana is made by IDEXX Laboratories (Animana B.V.), available on Web.
Overview
Animana is a browser-based veterinary practice information management system covering appointments, clinical records, invoicing, inventory, prescriptions and reporting. It runs entirely in a web browser with no server in the building, and it is sold in European markets rather than worldwide. The distinguishing point is ownership. IDEXX bought the Dutch company behind Animana, and IDEXX also sells the in-house analysers and reference laboratory services that most of its customers use. Results from IDEXX analysers and IDEXX reference labs arrive in the patient record without a middleware layer or a third-party integration fee, while competing diagnostics suppliers connect through thinner integrations that the practice usually has to ask for. That relationship, not the feature list, is the real switching cost. A practice that moves its laboratory work to a rival supplier keeps a software system built around the supplier it left. Buyers are independent and small-group small-animal clinics in continental Europe and the UK leaving on-premise systems, plus corporate groups that want one system across several countries with local tax handling. The trade-off is that Animana is a European product with a European roadmap: IDEXX sells a different cloud system in North America, so a group operating on both sides of the Atlantic runs two systems and reconciles them by hand.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Animana.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Provet Cloud: An independent European cloud system with no diagnostics supplier attached, if you want to keep the software and laboratory decisions separate

Answered, with sources
Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
Yes, but the integration is shallower. IDEXX analysers and reference lab results flow in automatically; other suppliers usually need a separate integration and sometimes manual result entry.
No. IDEXX sells a different cloud practice management system in North America, so Animana is a European purchase only.
No. Everything runs in the browser. You need reliable internet and enough bandwidth for imaging, not local server hardware.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Animana, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
