Brandwatch: If your requirement is social listening depth and consumer analytics rather than patent and filing analysis

Consumer and market intelligence combining social listening with unstructured text network analysis
As of 31 August 2026, Quid's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Formed from the 2020 merger of NetBase and Quid and now sold under the single Quid brand, it pairs social listening with network mapping over patents, news, filings and reviews. Softwr lists it under Business Intelligence. Quid is made by Quid, Inc., available on Web.
Overview
Quid is a consumer and market intelligence platform. One half of the lineage is NetBase, a social listening engine covering posts, reviews, forums and news with sentiment and theme extraction. The other half is Quid itself, which takes large bodies of unstructured text such as patents, company filings, earnings calls, research papers and news archives and renders them as clustered network maps, so an analyst can see how a topic is structured rather than reading a ranked list. The two merged in 2020 and the combined company now sells under the Quid name alone, with products marketed as Quid Terminal, Quid Discover and Quid Monitor, plus a library of task-specific AI agents. The distinguishing capability is the network view over non-social sources. Most tools in the category are social listening with a dashboard; Quid can take ten thousand patent abstracts and show you which technology clusters are growing and which companies sit in each. That is a research artefact, not a marketing report, and it is why the buyer is usually a corporate insights, strategy or innovation function rather than a social team. Whether that is worth the difference in price depends entirely on whether anyone in your organisation is paid to do that kind of analysis. Nothing is published on price. Contracts in this tier are annual and sit well above ordinary listening tools, with the number driven by data sources, historical depth and seat count. The trade-off is that a team who only needs brand mention volume will pay research-platform money for a listening feature they could buy far cheaper elsewhere.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Quid.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Yes. NetBase and Quid merged in 2020, traded as NetBase Quid, and now sell under the single Quid brand.
It includes social listening, but the reason to buy it is the network analysis over patents, filings, news and research. If you only need social listening, cheaper tools cover it.
Not published. Expect an annual enterprise contract priced by seats, data sources and historical depth.
Corporate insights, strategy and innovation analysts more often than social media managers. It rewards someone trained in analysis.
