What Paperless Parts does
Paperless Parts is quoting and estimating software for discrete manufacturers: CNC machining, sheet metal, fabrication, additive and finishing. A customer RFQ arrives with a STEP or other 3D file, the system analyses the geometry for features, stock size, tolerances and manufacturability, and applies the shop's costing logic to produce a price. It handles the quote document, revisions, customer portal and the hand-off of won work into an ERP or shop system. The part that decides purchases is less the automation than the configuration. The system prices work using rules the shop writes, so the value depends entirely on whether the shop's estimator knowledge can be encoded, and that work happens during an implementation engagement that is quoted separately from the subscription. Shops that treat it as software they can switch on get poor quotes; shops that invest an estimator's time for weeks get consistent ones. Paperless Parts also markets ITAR-conscious data handling, which matters because defence RFQs are precisely the work a shop cannot process through an ordinary cloud tool.
