Ashby: Stronger analytics and scheduling for a structured hiring team, with published capability depth

Structured collaborative hiring where every stage is assigned to a named person, now part of Spark Hire
As of 31 August 2026, Comeet's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. An ATS that makes the hiring process itself the product: each step has an owner, a deadline and a defined action, so nothing waits in a queue nobody owns. Softwr lists it under Recruitment. Comeet is made by Comeet, part of Spark Hire, available on Web.
Overview
Comeet is an applicant tracking system founded in Israel in 2013, built around what it calls elastic recruiting. Rather than a pipeline where candidates move between stages that anyone can action, every step in a Comeet process is assigned to a specific person with a defined task, and the system chases that person until it is done. Around that sit sourcing tools, a careers site, scheduling, scorecards, offer management and reporting. The assignment model is the distinguishing decision and it cuts both ways commercially. In organisations where hiring stalls because a manager has not reviewed a shortlist for a week, the accountability is transformative and time to hire drops measurably. In organisations that hire opportunistically, or where the same three people do everything, the structure feels like overhead and recruiters work around it. The product does not really support being used loosely, so the fit question is about hiring culture rather than features. Spark Hire acquired Comeet in 2023, adding it to a portfolio that includes video interviewing and assessment products. Buyers are technology and services companies of roughly 100 to 1,500 employees, historically weighted towards Israel and the United States. The trade-off now includes portfolio risk: an independent ATS inside a vendor whose other products it is expected to bundle with, and buyers should ask directly about standalone roadmap commitments and about how support hours cover their timezone.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Comeet.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Each step of a hiring process is assigned to a named person with a defined action and deadline, and the system tracks completion rather than leaving candidates in an unowned queue.
Spark Hire acquired it in 2023 and sells it alongside video interviewing and assessment products.
By quote, based on company size and hiring volume, with unlimited users rather than per recruiter seats.
Not especially. The structure pays off when several people are involved in every hire and process delay is the real problem.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Comeet, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
