Filevine: Broader case management covering personal injury plus other litigation types, if you expect to diversify

Case management built specifically for plaintiff personal injury firms
As of 31 August 2026, CASEpeer starts at $79/month. Practice management for contingency-fee personal injury firms, organised around medical treatment, liens and settlement rather than billable hours. Softwr lists it under Legal. CASEpeer is made by CASEpeer (8am, formerly AffiniPay), available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
CASEpeer is case management software for plaintiff-side personal injury practices. It tracks intake and case screening, medical providers and records requests, treatment status, insurance policy limits, demand and offer history, liens, case costs advanced and the final settlement distribution to the client. The distinguishing point is that it does not treat time as the unit of value. A contingency firm earns a percentage of a settlement, so the numbers that matter are case value, costs advanced against the case and lien reductions negotiated at the end, not hours recorded against a rate. This is why a corporate firm and a personal injury firm shopping for case management are shopping for two different products that share a category name: software built for hourly work has nowhere coherent to record a lien reduction, and software built for contingency work has nowhere coherent to record a partner rate. CASEpeer is unusually clear about which one it is, and unusually clear about price, publishing per-seat rates when most of this market quotes. Its ownership has changed hands repeatedly, which is worth knowing before signing a multi-year agreement. It was acquired by MyCase in March 2021, moved with MyCase to AffiniPay in June 2022, and AffiniPay rebranded to 8am in August 2025, so it now sits alongside MyCase and LawPay under private equity ownership. It is bought by US plaintiff personal injury firms from solo practices to multi-office operations. The trade-off is the narrowness that makes it good: it is unsuitable for hourly defence or corporate work and has no full firm general ledger.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about CASEpeer.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Answered, with sources
Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
No. It is built around contingency personal injury work: treatment, liens and settlement. A corporate firm billing hourly should look at Clio, Tabs3 or a large firm system instead.
Published per-user rates are 79 USD for Basic, 119 USD for Pro and 149 USD for Advanced per month, with no minimum seat count and no long-term contract required.
It was acquired by MyCase in March 2021 and moved to AffiniPay in June 2022. AffiniPay rebranded to 8am in August 2025, so CASEpeer now sits alongside MyCase and LawPay in that group.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for CASEpeer, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
