Secure Privacy

Consent management and website privacy compliance priced per domain by monthly consent volume

As of 31 August 2026, Secure Privacy has a free plan and paid plans start at $15/month. A consent management platform that publishes its prices, unusually for this market, and bills per domain against a monthly consent cap. Softwr lists it under Legal. Secure Privacy is available on Web.

Overview

What Secure Privacy does

Secure Privacy provides cookie scanning, consent banners with automatic cookie blocking, legal document templates for privacy and cookie policies, data subject access request handling and IAB TCF support. It targets the same buyers as Cookiebot and Osano but leans harder on the legal document side, offering a library of templates rather than only the consent mechanics. The distinguishing commercial fact is transparency and the shape of the meter. Prices are published at 15, 59 and 249 US dollars per domain per month, and each tier carries a monthly consent allowance: 5,000 on Small, 50,000 on Business and 5 million on Advanced, with a free tier capped at 500 consents. Because the meter is consents rather than pageviews, a site with high returning traffic and short consent lifetimes can consume the allowance far faster than raw visitor numbers suggest. Modelling that before signing is the single most useful thing a buyer can do. Buyers are small and mid-sized businesses, agencies managing client sites and companies that want DSAR handling and policy templates bundled with consent rather than bought separately. The trade-off against the enterprise privacy platforms is scope: there is no data discovery, no records of processing at enterprise depth and no vendor risk management, so a maturing privacy programme will outgrow it and move to something like OneTrust or TrustArc.

What people use it for

  • A mid-sized ecommerce site that wants published pricing it can budget against rather than an enterprise quote cycle
  • An agency running consent across many client domains that needs branding removed and per-domain billing
  • A company that needs both a consent banner and maintained privacy and cookie policy templates without retaining a law firm
  • A business receiving occasional deletion and access requests that wants them tracked in the same tool rather than in a shared inbox

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Secure Privacy.

  • Consent allowances are the real constraint and they are per domain, so a high traffic site on the Business tier can burn through 50,000 consents well before month end and be pushed to a tier that costs more than four times as much.
  • Billing is per domain, which makes multi-brand organisations and agencies pay linearly with domain count even when the configuration is identical across all of them.
  • There is no data discovery or records of processing at enterprise depth, so it documents website consent rather than a privacy programme, and organisations facing a regulator will still need something more.
  • Automatic cookie blocking is not available on the free tier, so the free plan cannot deliver the compliance behaviour that is the reason to install a consent tool in the first place.
  • Single sign-on and audit logs appear only on the 249 dollar Advanced tier, which puts basic enterprise access control behind a per-domain price that is punishing for anyone with more than a couple of sites.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

What is a consent, for billing purposes?

A recorded consent decision from a visitor. Because returning visitors can re-consent, consent counts do not map cleanly to unique visitors, and this is the most common source of unexpected tier upgrades.

Is the free plan usable?

For evaluation only. It caps at 500 consents a month and does not include automatic cookie blocking.

Does it handle data subject requests?

Yes, from the Business tier at 59 US dollars per domain per month. The Small tier does not include it.

Can it replace OneTrust?

For website consent and simple request handling, yes. For data discovery, records of processing and vendor risk, no.
