Clio: Handles basic conflict checking inside practice management, which is enough for small firms

Risk, compliance and business intake software for professional services firms
As of 31 August 2026, Intapp's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Conflicts clearance, client intake, confidentiality walls and time capture for large law and advisory firms. Softwr lists it under Legal. Intapp is available on Web, Windows, iOS, Android.
Overview
Intapp supplies risk and compliance, business intake, time capture and relationship intelligence software to law firms, accountancy and advisory practices and capital markets businesses. DealCloud, its deal and relationship management product, serves the advisory and investment side of the same customer base. Its centre of gravity is the risk side of a firm rather than the billing side: conflict searching, matter opening approval, ethical walls and compliance with outside counsel guidelines. That is the part of firm operations most likely to turn into a regulatory or professional indemnity problem rather than merely an inefficiency, which is why firms buy it separately from the system that produces their invoices. One practical advantage for a buyer is diligence: Intapp has been listed on Nasdaq since 2021, so revenue, retention and research spending appear in public filings. Almost every other vendor in this market is private and discloses nothing, so a firm signing a long agreement can actually check the counterparty. It is bought by large firms with a formal risk function and by advisory businesses with the same intake problem. The trade-off is that the product set is modular, so the cost of a working configuration accumulates well beyond the first module priced, and it assumes a firm large enough to have somebody whose job is owning these workflows.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Intapp.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

No. It covers risk, compliance, intake and time capture. Firms run it alongside a billing and matter financial system such as Aderant or Elite 3E.
Yes, which is unusual in this market. Intapp has been listed on Nasdaq since 2021, so revenue and retention figures appear in public filings rather than only in sales material.
Large firms and advisory businesses with a formal risk function. Small practices handle conflicts inside their practice management system instead.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Intapp, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
