Where each one falls short
Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.
Roomsy
- Every tier has a monthly floor, so a twelve room property on Essential pays $80 rather than $48 and the advertised per room rate is only real above the break-even room count.
- Channel management is not on the free or Starter tiers, so the cheapest paid plan cannot connect to Booking.com and buyers regularly select it and then have to upgrade.
- Some OTA connections are routed through SiteMinder rather than built directly, which introduces a third party into your distribution and a second place for a sync failure to occur.
- There is no revenue management or dynamic pricing, so rates are manual and go stale unless someone maintains seasonal rules by hand.
- There is no native point of sale or food and beverage module, so a property with a bar or restaurant runs a separate till and reconciles revenue outside the system.
Spotnana
- It is infrastructure, not a branded product a company books through directly, so an employer cannot simply sign up and start booking travel; they must go through a partner that has built on Spotnana.
- Pricing is entirely undisclosed and structured partner by partner, so there is no way to benchmark cost without already being in a sales process.
- A company evaluating a partner's travel feature is really evaluating Spotnana one layer removed, and problems in Spotnana's content or uptime become the partner's problem to explain, with limited transparency into where a fault originated.
- As a comparatively young infrastructure provider next to Sabre, Amadeus and Travelport, its content depth and edge-case servicing in some markets and with some carriers still lag the incumbent GDS networks.
- Because multiple competing brands (TMCs, card issuers, expense tools) run on the same underlying platform, a company cannot assume switching partner brand meaningfully changes its underlying travel content or reliability.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages
Roomsy: What does a thirty room hotel pay?
$120 a month on Essential, which is above the $80 floor. Below twenty rooms you pay the floor instead of the per room rate.
Spotnana: Can our company buy Spotnana directly?
Generally no. It sells to travel management companies, card issuers and fintechs who then offer travel booking to end customers under their own brand.
Roomsy: Which plan includes the channel manager?
Essential at $4 per room per month with an $80 minimum. Free and Starter do not include it.
Spotnana: Which products run on Spotnana?
Center's travel booking and Expensify's travel offering are both built on Spotnana, among other TMC and fintech partners.
Roomsy: Is the free plan usable?
For a booking calendar, invoicing and a direct booking engine, yes. Without OTA connections most properties will outgrow it quickly.
Spotnana: Does it publish pricing?
No, pricing is negotiated per partner and not published.
Roomsy: Does Roomsy take commission on bookings?
No. You pay the subscription only.
