Unlike traditional identity providers, Stytch includes sophisticated fraud prevention capabilities built-in, including bot detection with 99.99% accuracy, device fingerprinting, invisible CAPTCHA and zero-day device intelligence. The platform is particularly focused on emerging authentication needs, offering native AI agent authentication and authorisation, consent management for agents, and machine-to-machine authentication. This includes support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for authenticating AI agents accessing external systems. Stytch operates on a freemium model with a generous free tier including 10,000 monthly active users (both human and AI agent), unlimited organisations, 5 SSO or SCIM connections and 1,000 machine-to-machine tokens.
