Earned wage access for Indian employers, with a per withdrawal convenience fee
As of 1 September 2026, Refyne's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. India focused earned wage access integrated with employer payroll. Softwr lists it under Payroll. Refyne is made by Refyne India Technologies, available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Refyne connects to an employer's payroll and attendance systems and lets employees draw a portion of already earned salary before payday. The employer approves a policy, sets an accrual percentage and a monthly cap, and Refyne funds the withdrawal and recovers it at payroll. It is offered through the employer as a benefit, with an employee app, savings and financial education content bolted on. The fact that decides the purchase is who pays. Refyne markets zero interest and no processing fee to distinguish itself from lending, but the withdrawal carries a convenience fee charged to the employee. It is a small flat amount per transaction rather than an interest rate, which sounds benign until you annualise it: a low value withdrawal a few days before payday can carry an effective cost far above the flat number implies. An HR team approving this as a free benefit should insist on the exact fee schedule in writing, and on whether the fee changes by withdrawal size, because Refyne does not publish it. Buyers are Indian employers with large hourly, shift and blue collar workforces where attrition is high and payday cash flow gaps drive absenteeism. The trade off is that this is a benefit whose cost lands on the lowest paid workers, and a scheme that increases withdrawal frequency without an employer subsidy of the fee shifts money from workers to the provider. Employers who genuinely want the benefit to be free must negotiate to absorb the fee themselves.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Refyne.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Yes. There is no interest, but a flat convenience fee is deducted per withdrawal. Get the exact schedule in writing before rollout.
Often little or nothing, which is precisely why the cost sits with the worker. Employers who want a genuinely free benefit must negotiate to absorb the fee.
It is structured as access to already earned wages recovered at payroll, not as lending, but the regulatory classification in India is not fully settled.
