Givebutter: Similar tip funded model with stronger built in donor management for smaller US organisations

Peer to peer and campaign fundraising platform funded by optional donor tips rather than a platform fee
As of 31 August 2026, Raisely's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. An Australian fundraising platform for challenge events, appeals and peer to peer campaigns, built to be customised by front end developers. Softwr lists it under Nonprofits. Raisely is available on Web.
Overview
Raisely is a campaign fundraising platform founded in Australia in 2016, used for peer to peer challenges, appeal pages, recurring giving programmes and matched giving campaigns. It is unusually developer friendly for the category: campaign pages are assembled from components that can be overridden with custom code, and the API and webhooks are documented well enough that agencies build bespoke supporter journeys on top of it. The fee model is the decision. Rather than charging the charity a percentage of donations, Raisely asks the donor to add an optional contribution to the platform at checkout, and the charity receives the gift less only card processing. For an organisation running a large peer to peer event, the difference between a percentage platform fee and a tip model on the same volume is a genuinely material sum, and it is money that would otherwise leave the cause. The honest qualification is that the cost has been shifted rather than removed. Tip rates depend heavily on audience: younger, digitally native supporters running challenge campaigns tip well, while older and offline recruited donor bases tip less, and the shortfall shows up as an unbudgeted cost of doing business rather than as an invoice. Buyers are typically digital fundraising and campaign teams at mid sized charities, often with an agency partner, running multiple campaigns a year and wanting each to look different. The trade off is that Raisely is a campaign platform and not a donor database. Supporter data has to flow onward into a CRM, and organisations that treat Raisely as a system of record discover the gap the first time they need lifetime giving history across channels.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Raisely.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Donors are prompted to add a voluntary contribution to the platform at checkout, and some organisations pay for plans that remove the prompt.
It changes the checkout, and results vary by audience. Test it against your own list rather than relying on published averages.
No. It runs campaigns and pushes data to a CRM through the API or an integration.
Peer to peer and challenge event fundraising where a percentage platform fee on high volume would be the largest single cost.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Raisely, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish.
