TalentLMS: Lower entry price and simpler administration for a single audience that does not need multiple branded portals.

Multi-portal learning management for training employees, customers and partners from one instance
As of 31 August 2026, LearnUpon's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. LearnUpon runs several separately branded training portals from a single instance, which is why companies training their own staff and their reseller network at once choose it. Softwr lists it under LMS. LearnUpon is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
LearnUpon is a cloud learning management system from Dublin, used to deliver compliance, onboarding, product and partner training. The architecture point is portals. One LearnUpon instance can host multiple portals, each with its own branding, administrators, catalogue and user base, sharing courses from a central library. A software company can therefore run internal onboarding, customer certification and reseller enablement without buying three systems or letting the three audiences see each other. That architecture is the commercial differentiator and it decides the buying case. If an organisation has exactly one audience, the multi-portal design is overhead it pays for and does not use, and cheaper tools do the job. If it has three or four audiences with different branding and administrators, the alternative is three contracts, three integrations and three sets of reporting, and the consolidation saves real money. The other thing to settle before signing is the pricing unit. LearnUpon prices on registered users. A competitor quoting per active user, meaning someone who logged in during the billing month, and a competitor quoting per course are not comparable numbers, and no vendor will convert its price into a rival unit for you. Build a model of your own population, split into people who will log in monthly and people who will log in once a year, and price all three units against it. Buyers are learning and development leads and customer education managers at mid market companies, commonly between two hundred and five thousand learners. The trade off is depth. LearnUpon is deliberately straightforward to administer, which means it will not model complex competency frameworks or long multi year academic programmes, and organisations that need those outgrow it.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about LearnUpon.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

By registered user tier and the number of portals, quoted rather than published. That unit is not comparable with per active user or per course pricing, so model your own population before comparing quotes.
Yes, that is the main design point. Separate portals have their own branding, administrators and catalogues, while sharing courses from one library.
Yes. Recertification cycles, automatic reassignment and per user dated completion records are built in and are a common reason for purchase.
