Trulioo: If the requirement is verifying individuals and small businesses at speed rather than orchestrating institutional onboarding

Client lifecycle management and KYC onboarding for regulated financial institutions
As of 1 September 2026, Fenergo's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Software that runs client onboarding, KYC refresh and regulatory classification for banks and asset managers. Softwr lists it under Cybersecurity. Fenergo is available on Web.
Overview
Fenergo is a client lifecycle management platform for banks, asset managers, private equity firms and payment institutions. It orchestrates onboarding from first contact through KYC, AML screening, tax classification under FATCA and CRS, product and account opening, and then periodic review. Its distinguishing asset is a maintained library of regulatory rules covering roughly a hundred jurisdictions, which encodes what documents and checks each regulator requires for each entity type. The commercial logic is that maintaining that rules content in house is expensive and error-prone, and a bank operating in thirty countries would otherwise employ a compliance team purely to track changes. Fenergo sells the content subscription as much as the software. That also explains why it is rarely displaced once implemented: the workflow is entangled with the bank core banking and CRM systems, and the rules library has no clean substitute. Buyers are tier one and tier two banks, custodians and large asset managers with onboarding times measured in weeks. The trade-off is implementation weight. Deployments run twelve to twenty-four months with a systems integrator, and the configuration effort is where most of the total cost sits. Smaller institutions almost always find the entry point too high and buy a lighter KYC tool instead.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Fenergo.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

No. It orchestrates calls to third-party data providers such as Dow Jones and World-Check, and those subscriptions are additional and usually charged per screened entity.
Both. The SaaS offering runs on Microsoft Azure with regional deployment options, which matters where data residency rules prohibit client data leaving the jurisdiction.
Plan for a year at minimum for a multi-jurisdiction rollout. Single-jurisdiction deployments with a narrow product set can be shorter but rarely under six months.
