Mid-market HR system for UK and multi-country European employers, with per-country configuration and EU or UK data hosting
As of 31 August 2026, Cezanne HR's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A British HRIS aimed at 100 to 3,000 employee organisations that operate across several European countries and need different absence rules, languages and currencies in one system. Softwr lists it under HR. Cezanne HR is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Cezanne HR is a London-based human resources system covering employee records, absence, performance, recruitment, onboarding, career and succession planning, timesheets and reporting. It targets the mid-market, meaning organisations too large for a small business HR tool and unwilling to run a multi-year enterprise HCM implementation. The multi-country design is what distinguishes it. Absence rules, public holiday calendars, working patterns, document requirements, languages and currencies are configured per country within one instance, rather than requiring separate tenants or accepting a single global policy. Customers can also choose where their data is hosted between the United Kingdom and the European Union, which is a live procurement question rather than a technicality: employee data is regulated differently in each jurisdiction, works councils in Germany and France take a direct interest in where records sit, and a UK organisation with staff in the EU can find a US-hosted system blocked by its own data protection assessment. Buyers are UK-headquartered organisations of 100 to 3,000 employees with subsidiaries across Europe, in professional services, manufacturing, education and the charity sector. The trade-off is payroll: Cezanne does not calculate payroll, so it exports to a payroll provider in each country, and organisations wanting one supplier for HR and pay have to look elsewhere or accept the integration.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Cezanne HR.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

No. It holds the HR record and exports to payroll providers in each country. Payroll remains a separate contract.
You choose between UK and EU hosting, which is the reason many public sector, education and works-council-sensitive buyers shortlist it.
Yes. Absence, calendars, working patterns and documents are configured per country within a single instance rather than needing separate systems.
Roughly 100 to 3,000 employees. Below that it is more system than needed; above it, enterprise HCM products become competitive.
