Lytx: Can I run Lytx without a driver-facing camera?

Yes, road-facing only configurations are available and are what most fleets deploy first to reduce resistance. You lose distraction and seatbelt detection, which is a large part of the risk model.

NexTraq: Is NexTraq still a separate company?

No. Michelin bought it in 2017 and has folded it into Michelin Connected Fleet, together with Masternaut in Europe and Sascar in Brazil.

Lytx: Who watches the footage?

Flagged events go to Lytx reviewers, then to your safety managers. Continuous footage is not routinely watched; it is retained and pulled on request for incidents and claims.

NexTraq: Will my NexTraq system be migrated to a different platform?

Assume so, eventually. Ask directly what the migration timetable is, what happens to historical data, and who bears the cost of re-fitting or re-configuring devices.

Lytx: Does it replace my telematics platform?

It can, but most large fleets keep their existing tracking platform and integrate Lytx for video and coaching. Budget for both if that is the plan.
