Where each one falls short
Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.
Icertis
- The value comes from structured clause and metadata models, and building those is legal and commercial work your own people must do, so a project resourced as an IT deployment stalls at the point where somebody has to decide what the standard clauses actually are.
- This is priced and scoped for large enterprises, so an organisation with a few thousand straightforward agreements pays for capability it will not configure and would reach most of the same benefit with a lighter mid-market product.
- Implementations run in quarters rather than weeks once integrations to CRM and ERP are in scope, and the business case usually assumes benefits that only start after the historic contract population has been migrated and tagged.
- Migrating legacy contracts means extracting terms from signed PDFs, and automated extraction needs human review to be trustworthy, so the backlog of old agreements is a labour cost that is routinely left out of the initial estimate.
- The platform is built on Azure with its strongest integrations in the Microsoft stack, which is an advantage inside a Microsoft estate and a source of friction for an organisation standardised elsewhere.
TallyPrime
- Multi user access requires the Gold licence at Rs 67,500 plus 18 percent GST, three times the Rs 22,500 Silver single user licence
- The Silver lifetime licence covers a single user only
- Connected services and product upgrades depend on a Tally Software Services subscription renewed separately; the 2 year Silver renewal is Rs 8,100 and the 2 year Gold renewal Rs 24,300, both plus 18 percent GST
- Gold multi user operation is over a local area network rather than over the internet
- All published prices exclude 18 percent GST

Answered from the vendors’ own pages
Icertis: How is this different from storing contracts in SharePoint?
A document store answers where the contract is. CLM answers what is in it. If your questions are about locating files, a document store is enough. If your questions are portfolio wide, such as total exposure to a clause type or which agreements renew next quarter, you need the terms as data.
TallyPrime: What does TallyPrime cost per month?
TallyPrime Monthly Subscription starts at ₹750 plus 18% GST (₹135), totaling approximately ₹885 per month in India. Other subscription options like Rental and Lifetime License are also available through their Customer Hub.
SourceIcertis: Do we need a legal operations team to make this work?
In practice yes, or someone doing that job under another title. The system enforces decisions about standard language, approval thresholds and acceptable deviation, and if nobody owns those decisions the workflow becomes an approval queue with no rules behind it.
TallyPrime: Is there a free trial available?
Yes, TallyPrime offers a 7-day free trial. Users can access the full product features during this trial period before committing to a paid subscription.
SourceIcertis: What does it compete with?
SAP Ariba contract management, Coupa, Conga, DocuSign CLM, Sirion and Agiloft, among others. The split is roughly enterprise depth against mid-market speed, and Icertis sits firmly at the enterprise end.
TallyPrime: What subscription models does TallyPrime offer?
TallyPrime provides multiple subscription types including Monthly Subscription, Rental, Lifetime License, Cloud Access, Tally Software Services (TSS), and WhatsApp integration options. Each can be managed through their Subscriptions portal for renewal or upgrades.
SourceIcertis: Is contract data extraction from legacy agreements automated?
Partly. Extraction tooling gets you a draft set of fields, but anything you intend to rely on for a legal or financial decision needs human verification, so budget for review effort proportional to the size of your back catalogue.
TallyPrime: Does TallyPrime pricing include taxes?
Yes, TallyPrime pricing includes 18% GST (Goods and Services Tax). The displayed price of ₹750 plus 18% GST reflects the total billing amount customers will pay in India.
SourceTallyPrime: What access options are available with TallyPrime?
TallyPrime can be accessed via desktop application, cloud-based platform, and through WhatsApp integration, depending on which subscription option is chosen.
