Guest Manager vs Remo

Remo
Events
Virtual event platform built around seated tables on a floor plan rather than a webinar stage
- From
- $299/month
- Rated
- -
The short version
- Only Guest Manager has a free tier, so it costs nothing to try first.
- Each has a real cost: Guest Manager usage is metered in credits consumed by check ins, emails and badges, so cost scales with activity rather than with the subscription alone; Remo remo's key assets were acquired by Events.com in January 2025, and Events.com was simultaneously pursuing a public listing through a SPAC merger, so multi-year commitments depend on a roadmap set inside a company in the middle of a corporate transaction.
- They diverge on capability: Guest Manager covers Registration, Remo covers Table floor plans.
- Prices and features above were last checked on 31 August 2026.

- Usage is metered in credits consumed by check ins, emails and badges, so cost scales with activity rather than with the subscription alone
- Check in devices are capped at 2 on On Demand, 4 on Planner and 8 on Professional
- Ticket fees are $1.00 per ticket on On Demand and Planner and fall to $0.50 only on the $199 per month Concierge plan
- Priority support and a dedicated account manager are Concierge and Custom only
- The free trial covers only the first 50 guest check ins
- The Custom plan is priced by quote
Remo
- Remo's key assets were acquired by Events.com in January 2025, and Events.com was simultaneously pursuing a public listing through a SPAC merger, so multi-year commitments depend on a roadmap set inside a company in the middle of a corporate transaction.
- Pricing is banded by attendees per event rather than by total attendees, so an organisation running one large annual conference and many small ones pays for the peak all year unless it buys the separate one-time event product.
- The browser-only, video-heavy floor model is demanding on bandwidth and hardware, and attendees on corporate networks, older laptops or restricted browsers get degraded experiences that the organiser gets blamed for.
- Recordings are stored for only thirty days, so any organiser wanting an on-demand library from an event has to export and host the content somewhere else.
- The spatial interface needs explaining, and events with older or less technical audiences routinely lose the first fifteen minutes to attendees who cannot find how to sit at a table, which is why organisers end up running rehearsal sessions the budget did not include.
